On the flip side, many naive collectors are drawn to the term “rare” like moths to a flame. They hit the buy button before doing any research and are burned in the process. The CGC Census and GPA recorded sales
CGC opened to the public and began grading comic books on January 1, 2000. The first five years of CGC grading resulted in just over a half million (518,030) graded comic books on the CGC Census by the end of 2004.
Canadian Price Variants (CPVs) and GPAnalysis.com Recorded Sales
GPAnalysis.com (GPA) records the sales of CGC graded comic books from a number of online venues, resulting in a database which combines most of the CGC sales which may be documented.
